CertWORK+
Canada's first national certification program for shop floor workers and management in manufacturing.
CertWork+ is a national, work-based assessment and certification system for the manufacturing industry, developed through a joint venture between Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC). The CertWork+ system provides an assessment system and a set of national occupational standards. It also provides production workers and management with an opportunity to have their skills formally recognized with a certificate - improving job opportunities and mobility across Canada. CertWork+ is a practical tool for employees to be certified based on actual workplace experience.
Certification is available for the following occupations:
• Material Handler
• Machine Operator
• Production Assembler
• Lead Hand
• Production Supervisor
• Production Manager
• National Occupational Standards are available for the six occupations noted above.
Achieving certification works like this:
• Create an account through www.certwork.com*
• Complete the Skills Validation Tool
• Enroll in certification
• Collect and submit evidence
• An idependent assessor reviews each candidate's portfolio
• Receive certification!
