Ontario loses ground in immigration

Ontario has continued losing ground to western Canadian provinces since the 2008 recession, say numbers collected during the last census.

The population in Canada's most populous province increased just 5.7 per cent in the last five years, down from the 6.6 per cent recorded in the five-year period prior to that.

The Winnipeg Free Press looks at what happened and some of the implications for the rest of the country.
