Vancouver conference to promote value of planning ahead

Published by Steve Coleman on January 19, 2012

Organizers behind a two-day workshop in Vancouver say they hope to bring creativity back into the business world.

The 200-person gathering for "Profit By Design" plans to bring some of North America's top "Design First" corporations to Vancouver on Feb. 24-25.

Event organizers plan to include a look at new ground-breaking start-ups and more established businesses such as Bombardier Recreational Products, Lululemon and RIM Blackberry to the show as presenters on the first day.

Day two will include a series of workshops to get business leaders thinking about how they can plan ahead.

The two-day product development and innovation conference and workshop is sponsored by the Association of Canadian Industrial Designers and the Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
