Canadian inflation higher year-over-year

Canada's inflation rate dropped .6 per cent in December, but ended 2011 at a higher rate than it did in 2010.

The monthly look at the Canadian economy by Desjardins Economic Studies said the annual total inflation rated dropped from 2.9 per cent to 2.3 per cent, but ended the year at 2.9 per cent. In 2010, Canada's inflation rate was pegged at 1.8 per cent.
