World leaders to meet to settle Europe's money woes

Published by Steve Coleman on May 18, 2012

World leaders will meet in Washington this weekend to try and hammer out a deal to fix Europe's debt problems.

Talks aimed at keeping the situation in Greece from spilling over into other countries are expected to include trying to find new ways to get the European economy growing, again.

Since Greece's economy started teetering, the majority of the solutions have been aimed at spending cuts and reducing debt. Compromises may include more public works projects to help boost investor confidence in the euro.

An Associated Press story looks at what could happen this weekend.
