Canon considers fully automating camera production

Camera maker Canon Inc.'s snapshot of the future includes building cameras without human workers.

To help counter the high cost of the Yen, the electronics company says it hopes to seen fully automate its camera production lines. The changeover could occur as soon as 2015.

While the production lines will be automated, the company says it won't result in any job losses.
