F-35 price tag to stand

Published by Steve Coleman on February 24, 2012

Canadians won't pay any more than the original $75 million per plane originally allotted for new F-35 fighter jets, Defence Minister Peter MacKay said Friday.

The federal government reiterated the original purchase price will stand for the Canadian military's 65-plane order. The stealth fighter jets have been ordered to replace Canada's aging fleet of CF-18s.
